Avenged Sevenfold neared the end of their 6 month North American tour with the first of two epic hometown Southern California concerts on Thursday night, at The Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, California on April 16, 2009. Special guests Rev Theory and Buckcherry opened the show and A7X was joined on stage during their set for the band's first performance of a Guns N Roses cover by none other than original GNR guitarist Slash himself.

Following a performance in San Diego they close their tour at the opening of The New Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada on the 18th. The band has been on the road for more than a year in support of the 2007 self-produced self-titled release "Avenged Sevenfold" and most recently their DVD/CD release "Avenged Sevenfold - Live In The LBC & Diamonds In The Rough". With this touring cycle finished they'll be heading back to the studio to begin work on their next album.

Warped Tour founder Kevin Lyman greeted the press along with members of bands from this Summers tour including Aiden, Escape The Fate, In This Moment, Jeffree Star, Lovehatehero, Millionaires, P.O.S., Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Sing It Loud, TAT, TSOL and TV/TV at the Vans Warped Tour 2009 15th Anniversary Press Conference and Kick-Off Party at Key Club in Hollywood, California on April 2, 2009.

Following the press conference were performances by 2009 Warped Tour bands TV/TV, TAT, TSOL, Sing It Loud and The Adolescents.
